As I have written in the recent post I believe the concept of being kind to yourself can sometimes feel a little flippant or superficial. What is it to you? and does this phrase resonate at all?
I have wondered if it is a much deeper version of kindness that is of value to this, and sometimes we can forgive ourselves for our faults and have a little compassion though not use as an excuse for bad behaviour.
